What time is check-in?

Check in at Walnut Beach Resort starts at 5:00 pm in summer and 4:00 pm all other seasons, Pacific Standard Time.

When is check-out time?

Check out at Walnut Beach Resort is at 11:00 am Pacific Standard Time.

How do I request early or late check-in/check-out?

Our guaranteed check-in time is 5:00 pm in the summer and 4:00 pm all other seasons. However, we are happy to note your early arrival on your reservation and our housekeeping team will try their best to accommodate this request.

Regular check-out time is 11:00 AM. We are happy to note your request for a late check-out on your reservation and on the morning of departure, our housekeeping team will confirm if we have availability.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary depending on the rate or package booked. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please call our guest services team at 1-855-936-5400.

If the reservation was made through a third-party website, including Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, Hotwire etc., the cancellation will need to be processed through them directly.

Is breakfast included?

While Walnut Beach Resort does not include breakfast, our spacious and fully equipped kitchens provide ample space to craft your favourite meals. If you’re pressed for time, we can set up your suite with everything you need for breakfast. Visit our enhancements page to learn more.

Are kitchens fully equipped?

Most of our suites feature fully equipped kitchens inclusive of refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwashers, and basic kitchen dishes and cookware. Our Chardonnay Suites are equipped with kitchenettes.

Are there accessible rooms?

Accessible rooms are indeed available. Please call us at 1-855-936-5400 to arrange.

What is the smoking/vaping policy

Walnut Beach Resort is non-smoking / non-vaping. Our guest rooms including entrances, balconies, decks, patios, resort grounds, swimming pool/ hot tubs, beach, parking garage, marina and lawn areas are all non-smoking / non-vaping. There is a fee for violations of this policy. The resort does have a designated smoking / vaping area. Please ask at Resort Reception.

Is the resort pet friendly?

Unfortunately, our property is not set up to accommodate pets, and regrettably we do not allow any pets on our grounds, and cannot make exceptions to this policy. This includes emotional and therapy animals. (Guide dogs and service dogs with proof of valid certification are exempt from this policy)

What is the minimum and maximum long-term stay?

We have a 30-day minimum stay required for long-term and 60-day minimum stay required for long-term during January, February, and March. Based on availability.

Is there a cost for parking?

We offer complimentary underground parking.

How far is downtown Osoyoos from the resort?

We are conveniently located just five minutes from town.

Am I able to reserve a lounge chair at the beach and pool?

Unfortunately, we are not able to reserve beach and pool lounge chairs. In consideration of all guests, we request guests to refrain from leaving personal belongings on lounge chairs to ‘save their spot’ on the pool deck & beach, this includes extended absences. Any personal items left behind for too long will be removed by our associates for safekeeping. Items can be claimed by the guest at the resort reception.

Are towels provided at the beach and pool?

Yes, we have towel stations conveniently located at the beach and pool.

Billing

Is a credit card required to stay at Walnut Beach Resort?

A valid credit card with matching government issued photo ID in the name of the reservation is required to reserve and at check-in.

Upon check-out, your stay can be paid for with credit, cash, or debit.

Why do I see two charges on my credit card after check out?

Depending on your financial institution, the initial authorization we take at check-in may appear on your credit card statement as a charge. The authorization includes a nightly incidentals hold, which, if unused will be released once the final payment is processed.

Can I pay with a Visa Debit card?

Upon check-out you can pay for your stay with a Visa Debit, but a credit card is required for check-in.

Can I pay with e-Transfer?

We are unable to accept e-Transfers.

What are the applicable taxes on my accommodation?

The total taxes applied to each hotel room night is 16%. Below is a full breakdown:

Room PST (8%) – Provincial Sales Tax – tax for short term accommodations

Room GST (5%) – Goods and Services Tax

MRDT (3%) – Municipal and Regional District Tax
