Our Commitment to the Well-Being of our Guests and Associates

Walnut Beach resort has always adhered to a health and safety program that is designed to address a broad spectrum of contaminants, including COVID 19. During this pandemic, we have amplified our attention to hygiene and cleanliness in our common areas and guest rooms. We closely followed the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada, the federal, provincial and local authorities to be compliance with all applicable laws. We hope that our continued attention to the rigorous cleaning will provide you with confidence that our resort is prepared to welcome you.

Walnut Beach resort would like you to know that while you are our guest, we will do everything we can to ensure your comfort. If we can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

Some of the things we are doing to ensure your well-being:

  • Provide enhanced training in the hygiene process and compliance requirements
  • Increased the frequency of disinfecting and sanitizing high touch surfaces. Including but not limited to elevators, door handles, common areas and the front desk
  • Heightened our focus on the disinfection of high touch items in the guest rooms and utilize products which have been proven to be highly effective in virus mitigation
  • The wearing of personal protective equipment as required to complete duties
  • The closing of the hot tubs occasionally for the purposes of sanitization
  • Physical distancing protocols
  • The following of the cleanliness guidelines as set out by the PHAC and the CDC as well as using their approved sanitization products
  • The appointment of a “Cleanliness Champion”
  • Hand sanitization stations in high traffic areas
  • The screening of guests, vendors and associates including temperature checks as required
  • Having masks and gloves available to our employees
  • Minimize touch points by the removal and or repositioning of furniture
  • Masks being recommended for our guests in common areas

Welcome/Front Desk

  • The ongoing sanitization of key cards and pens
  • Masks and gloves provided to the staff
  • A luggage cart sanitization station for guests
  • Social distancing signage
  • Hand sanitizing wipes in guest rooms
  • Limit associates entry to guest rooms
